NO CONFUSION 5 SAREE PLEATS TO LEARN FOR YOUR NEXT PARTY

I remember talking about saree draping styles some time back in 2018, and again today in 2020 I think I wanted to refresh all my patron’s memory. But not introducing the same repetitive pattern or style to drape a saree - well, today I will like to share the kind of pleats that you might choose to drape for you saree.

Yes, you read it right. The kind of pleats. Well, tried and tested these 5 pleats never fails to impress your guest, whether you’re in a known or unknown party.

When it comes to think about the saree after you rose from the waist, how I will style my pallu?

So here I come with my ideas and the related video to roll your senses. Get back to me if you find them interesting.

#1. "Aao Twist Kaare" - The twisted pallu/pleat

Just pick any desi silk saree online and add some twist to the pallu and drape it one side of your shoulder. Wanna look like a hipster - here you go. Well, it definitely settles well with satin silk, chiffon silk, georgette silk sarees.

#2. The Garland - Wrapping pleat around the neck

Get along with this style right now - not sure to fail ever if you are trying out a fusion drape. Best it goes with cotton sarees, handloom sarees.

#3. Pallo latke peeche" - The back-side pleat

Yes, you are reading it correctly - the back-side pleat. Usually, we pleat our sarees at the waist in the front, but this method makes you pleat at the back. Isn’t it sexy? And, yes, it is also called a Cancan drape.

#4. Seedha pallu with a twist

Having a straight pallu is not something uncommon, that’s pretty old school. But if you can break the regular genre and give the classic form a twist like this video pallu, you’re gonna slay it.

#5. “Titli hoon main” - Butterfly style saree pleat

Now is your chance to look slim in the saree that you bought online. Any type of silk, soft, and easy to fold saree will be the choice for this kind of pleat. Just go ahead and watch the video.
